What makes a Dandy?

Dandy combines elements of both Flattop and Archtop guitars to create a new type of instrument with a unique sound, opening new worlds of playing styles. Individual notes are more noticeable within chords and by themselves seem more vivid. The sound is on the dry side and not “clangy” as most acoustic archtops tend to be. “Zero” fret fingerboard assures spot-on intonation with maximum playability. One Dandy Hybrid owner put it this way: “It plays smooth as butter”! (Roll over the pictures for color!)
